We implement water towers as well as water supply plants and wastewater treatment plants. We also construct water power.
Water supply and treatment construction enables the reliability of clean water and good wastewater treatment.
We have been involved in all the wastewater treatment plants built inside rock in Finland. In addition to the Blominmäki wastewater treatment plant currently under construction in Espoo, we have built the Viikinmäki plant in Helsinki and the Kakolanmäki plant in Turku, both of which are also underground facilities. YIT also carried out the excavation work on the Mikkeli wastewater treatment plant project and the first phase of excavation for the Tampere Sulkavuori central wastewater treatment plant. We are also expanding the Henriksdal wastewater treatment plant in Stockholm.
Water supply and treatment with over 100 years of experience
We have over 100 years of experience in water supply and treatment. Over the years, we have built already 119 water towers. The most recent water tower we have built is the spectacular water tower completed in Hiekkaharju, Vantaa, in early 2021. Water supply and treatment has been our special competence from the start. The Hiekkaharju water tower project has a positive impact on the entire area.
