Developing better living environments
We develop circular economy-based solutions and reduce the carbon footprint of construction through new material choices and working methods. These may include, for example, project-specific assessments of opportunities for careful intact dismantling and material reuse.
Smart systems can support the monitoring and management of buildings from the perspectives of energy consumption, safety, and space utilization. Through our operations, we also strive to safeguard biodiversity by implementing restorative and regenerative measures, such as designing and delivering green roofs, meadows, and floodwater and stormwater infiltration solutions.
What does urban fallow mean?
Urban fallows often refer to old office and industrial buildings in prime locations where a major transformation project is in the works.
A good example of this is YIT's block in Vallila, which has big plans for the future, but which offers premises to interesting operators during the development phase - while also increasing the area's awareness.
