We want to breathe new life into an underused block in the area bordered by Teollisuuskatu, Sturenkatu, Elimäenkatu and Telekatu. By renovating, partially demolishing, removing building parts intact, and building new ones using circular economy principles, we will bring homes, services, experiences and jobs to the block. In addition, the plan enables a large increase in greenery and natural light. All of this is done while respecting the original identity, history and architectural layers of the Vallila industrial area.

Everything that can be saved from the existing building will be recovered and used in a new way.

We will demolish parts of the block using circular economy methods and build a new, more functional entity in its place, which will also enable new uses.

The project will become an important circular economy platform for YIT to test various innovations. For example, we will test new solutions for the flexibility of buildings. The information and lessons learned from the project will be shared with the entire industry.
