Kupittaan kärki Partnership Project, Turku
The Kokkola Sports Park will be renovated and expanded through an alliance model.
The sports park to be built in Kokkola consists of a multipurpose hall for indoor sports and events, two new practice ice rinks and an indoor running track. The project is in the development phase. After that a decision will be taken to move on to the implementation phase, which will last approximately three years.
We will renovate the current ice rink and sports hall and build a UEFA category 2 football stadium. The project’s floor area is about 30,000 m2.
The location will have energy recycling systems and condensate heat from the ice rink will be used in the multipurpose hall.
"I am very pleased with the broad range of expertise that we have brought into the alliance," says Timo Sivula, Managing Director of Kokkolan Urheilupuisto.
The alliance also includes UKI Arkkitehdit, Arkkitehtitoimisto Jääskeläinen, Ramboll, Granlund and Kokkolan Urheilupuisto Oy.
