New facilities for industrial and logistics companies in the best location in Tuusula

YIT is developing a new logistics hub in Sammonmäki, Tuusula. The first city plan change will enable 60,000 square meters of space for the needs of industrial or logistics companies.

Logian and YIT signed a cooperation agreement last spring, and with it, the companies have launched the first phase of a new logistics and trade-oriented business area, the development of a construction project of almost 35,000 m2.

"We are happy to be able to develop the first construction project in Sammonmäki with Logian. Through close cooperation with Logian, we further strengthen the conditions for the use of the area by logistics and industrial companies. Our goal is to develop the Sammonmäki area more extensively in the future,” says Kari Löytynoja, Director of YIT's Industry and Construction unit in Häme and South-Eastern Finland.

Strategic location for industry and logistics

The area owned by YIT is strategically located at the intersection of Tuusulanväylä and the planned Ring Road IV, only a 10-minute drive from Helsinki Airport and about 30 minutes from the centre of Helsinki.

"The location supports efficient freight transport and enables fast connections to the entire metropolitan area, airport and ports. In addition, the central position of the area along the main roads ensures smooth transport connections to all parts of Finland,” Löytynoja adds.

Growth and competitive advantage alongside the airport

Sammonmäki's unique location combines smooth transport connections, an evolving environment and strong attraction, offering a rare opportunity to locate in an area that is only exceptionally rare.

”Sammonmäki serves Logian's customer base excellently. Through cooperation, we ensure that the entity meets the needs of even the most demanding users,” comments Elsi Luhtanen from Mrec Investment Management Oy.

The planning takes into account energy efficiency, renewable energy opportunities and the development of regions and infrastructure far into the future.

Sammonmäki is developing in stages

The area of YIT, with a building permit of about 60,000 square meters, will be completed in stages and the first construction phase, covering 35,000 square meters, is expected to begin during 2025, in cooperation with Logian.
