Excavation contract for the Espoo Rail Line

We are building an excavation contract for the Espoo City Railway, which is located in the vicinity of the Kaupunginkallio residential area between the Espoo city centre and Kauklahti.

The excavation works include, among other things, open excavation, crushing and transport of aggregate, construction of track structural layers, retaining walls and maintenance roads, as well as construction of pipelines and foundations. All the resulting rock quarry will be crushed for use in Espoo city railway contracts. The possible option section includes, among other things, the construction and equipment of the tunnel, as well as the installation of fasteners related to electric track equipment.

The actual construction works in the contract area began in April 2024 and the contract is expected to be completed by the end of September 2026. The working consortium of YIT and NRC Group was also selected as the builder for the Espoo Rail Line Contract 2. The contract for the regional contract was signed in February 2024, and the works in the contract area are in full swing.
