A new life for building components dismantled from the Vallila block – the project’s own circular economy store now open

Creating something new sometimes also means dismantling the old. In the Vallila project, dismantling is carried out thoughtfully and under conditions that respect the future.

Carefully assessed, intactly removed and documented building components from the properties are given the opportunity for a new life through the block’s own circular economy store. Interior building materials such as internal doors, textile carpet tiles and interior glass walls are redirected for reuse via the store, enabling efficient circulation of materials even before the actual construction phase begins.

The shop is operated by YIT’s partner Spolia Design, which refurbishes, tests, and documents all building components for sale – and provides them with a two‑year product warranty. The selection is available both at the physical Circular Economy Corner in Vallila and in Spolia’s online store.
