According to a decision by Helsinki city, a growth company campus, attracting ambitious growth companies and units as tenants, is developed in the inner city in the old Maria Hospital area.

Maria's area development is a unique growth company campus, one of the Europe's largest. The area will contain approximately 70,000m² of business premises. The objective is to bring around 650 new operators into the area and to create a minimum of 4,000 new jobs.

The future growth company campus will contain start-up companies developing their ideas, growth companies, future star funding investors, and international corporations offering start-ups international development opportunities and partnerships.

The area will create the opportunity for open innovation and the development of ambitious teams from start-ups to growth companies. The starting point of this development is that world-changing solutions are created through encounters, cooperation and quick experimentation.

The development and extension project is developed, designed and run by the consortium comprising a total of 25 companies, with YIT in the lead and as the financier. The other financier is Keva. The development and planning of the Maria area is in progress at the moment. The final schedule will be confirmed later.
