Hotel Lilla Roberts renovation, Helsinki

The protected building was renovated and converted into a magnificent design hotel.

The Hotel Lilla Roberts building was originally built to house Helsinki’s energy department, and has later been home to the city’s Police Department. The building was left vacant in summer 2012. The stately Art Nouveau building was designed by architect Selim A. Lindqvist.

The protected building was renovated and converted into a magnificent design hotel. Even after the renovations, the building preserves the atmosphere of its time and history. The demanding project was completed quickly in just a year. The hotel opened in August 2015. YIT Construction Ltd was responsible for the renovation contracting.

The hotel project was carried out in co-operation with Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company. The hotel is operated by Union Hotels/Kämp Group.
