Sturenkatu 21 |
Sturenkatu 21 is a functionalist 1930’s building located at the corner of Sturenkatu and Teollisuuskatu in Vallila, Helsinki. Special characteristics include the magnificent hall with handsome arches and lanterns in the ceiling. Mushroom-shaped roofing that used to cover gasoline pumps stands out as a landmark outside the building.
Thanks to the clear structure of the building, this feature also naturally adjusts to a modern business premise. The office wings have been designed as flexible and versatile personal working places.
YIT Renovation Services unit was responsible for the challenging renovation of this protected building with a floor area of 8,300 m². Architectural design was carried out by Arkkitehtitoimisto SARC. The renovation was completed in 2006.
