Dynamicum – facilities for the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Finnish Institute of Marine Research

Dynamicum at Kumpulanmäki, Helsinki, comprises the premises of the Finnish Meteorological institute and the Finnish Institute of Marine Research. YIT Construction Ltd has implemented the facilities of 26,550 m² floor area as group cooperation, including excavation, construction, design and implementation of technical building systems, as well as renovations for 30 years. The facilities were handed over in 2005.

Dynamicum’s architectural and functional centre is the atrium with transparent roofing. The working spaces open up to the atrium in a circular formation on five floors. Joint facilities and the floor-specific social, cafeteria and reference library facilities are located in the atrium.
